Seeking counseling can bring up questions and uncertainties. To provide clarity, here are answers to some of the common queries to guide you on your journey towards emotional well-being and personal growth.
Do I need a Referral?
No. You do not need a referral from your doctor to attend counselling sessions.

Is my information kept confidential?
Confidentiality is of utmost importance in our counseling practice. Your conversations with our counselors are kept strictly confidential, except in situations where there is a risk of harm to yourself or others. We adhere to ethical and legal standards to ensure your privacy and trust.

How many sessions will I need?

The number of sessions required varies depending on your unique circumstances and goals. Some individuals find resolution in a few sessions, while others may benefit from longer-term therapy. During your initial sessions, your counselor will collaboratively develop a treatment plan tailored to your needs.

Can I claim Counselling through my insurance?
Many insurance plans offer coverage for counseling services. We recommend checking with your insurance provider to understand your benefits and coverage. Unfortunately at this time, Health Canada does not cover the cost of counselling services.
Can I cancel or change my appointment?
You can change or cancel your appointment up to 48 hours before your appointment time. A full refund will be provided for appointments cancelled with 48 hours or more notice. For appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours notice, a 50% refund will be provided.
How to Reschedule?

To reschedule your appointment, please visit cancel using the Jane Online Booking System where you first scheduled your appointment.
How do I attend my video or telephone counselling appointment?
Appointments are conducted either at The Cabin Wellness Clinic located in Fishersville, or online through a video call or telephone call. For online appointments, you’ll receive an email confirming your appointment time and further details of how to join your video call.
Where are you located?
I am currently offering in-person counselling services out of The Cabin Wellness Clinic located in Fishersville, Ontario. I work with clients from all over Ontario, as my services are also available remotely and through video calls.
How do I pay for my appointment?
To ensure as much time as possible is available for your appointment, payment is processed at the time of your online booking with Credit or Debit Card. All major credit and debit cards are accepted. I also accept cash (please note a receipt will be provided for all payment methods).
